I am a wine broker with Montesquieu wines (www.thespiritofwine.com) and we deal with the top 3% of hand- crafted boutique wines in the world. All of our wines are limited production (less then 800 cases produced). As a wine broker, it’s my job to find you the wines that you are looking for- whether it’s the $250 1997 Barollo for the wine collector or the great everyday $25 domestic cabernet sauvignon for the new wine drinker who is just looking for something affordable that they can enjoy.

Our wine tasters travel the world tasting hundreds of wines. It is not unusual that we select one out of every one hundred wines that we taste. The wines are then tested to assure that nothing has been added to the wines- a great wine should have nothing but grapes and yeast. We then purchase the entire vintage of the wine that is chosen, which gives us exclusive rights to the wine, and allows us to save our clients money because we don’t have the overheads like a normal wine store.

I am not a wine club. I am a wine broker. I will never pull a truck up to your home and deliver a case of wine that you didn’t ask for. When I find something that I know you’re going to love, I call you and let you know. You say yes, or you say no, and I call you the next time something great comes in. Whether we work together once a week, or once a year, is totally up to you. I also guarantee my wine to your taste, so if I ever miss your palette, give me a call, and we send UPS to you to pick the wine up for a full refund or an exchange, whatever you prefer. I ship to most states, many people are surprised that we pay for shipping to states that have a tough time on imports. (Example: 2 day air into Alaska!)

Everyone has many ways that they get wine now, and I’m not going to take you away from that- what I can do is get you some amazing wines that are not released to the general public. And how cool is it to say “I know this wine is great, I got it from my wine broker!” My job is the best in the world, I get to drink wine, talk about wine, and share wine with wine lovers.
